Recognizing Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick, Celebrating Women’s History Month
1 min read
March is Women’s History Month and Clark County is proud to shine the spotlight on our very own Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick in our ‘Pioneering Leaders, Trailblazing Icons’ series. Commissioner Kirkpatrick, immediate past chair of the Board of County Commissioners, is the second woman in Nevada history to serve as the speaker of the Nevada Assembly and one of the only women in the United States to serve as speaker of a legislative chamber. She currently is the only woman serving on the Clark County Commission. We hear more about her career, her commitment to the community and what it means to be a woman leader in Southern Nevada.
