Riparian Proper Functioning Condition, Cattlemen’s Update, 2021
1 min read
This year, the Rangelands portion of the Nevada Cattlemen’s Update will focus on Riparian Proper Functioning Condition; often referred to as “PFC”. Riparian PFC was designed to describe the condition of riparian areas (on the ground) and the associated process used to assess condition. PFC has been incorporated into rangeland planning and management in a number of ways, including, but not limited to the Rangeland Health Standards for Nevada. As a result, it receives a fair amount of attention.
