Malcolm Wilson with the Nevada Division of Water Resources explains in this presentation the basics of Nevada water law. He discusses irrigation and stock water manners of use, water right applications, wells and guidelines for obtaining water rights.
Wilson is a Nevada native who earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering by the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. He has worked with the Division of Water Resources for over 18 years performing a broad number of roles, and he manages the Division’s Water Rights Section.
